The
Boy Singers of Maine,
a 30-year-old, nonprofit organization, celebrates the male voice in all stages of development through its three choirs: the Lyric (training), Concert (treble) and Lower Octave (mature voice) Choirs. The mission of The Boy Singers of Maine (BSM) is to provide an exemplary music education and performance training for boys aged 7 to 19 in an atmosphere that fosters sensitivity, character development discipline, and self-confidence. |

Choir members are taught music foundations as well as vocal skills, such as posture, respiration, phonation and ensemble singing, which prepare them for performance. Choir members also learn mental focus, proper rehearsal techniques and respect for composer, fellow performers and audience--the hallmarks of an excellent performer. |
